Set in three acres of beautiful landscaped grounds with a natural lake they are set around a colourfully planted courtyard and share a large games room with full size snooker table. Set in the village of Leverton - an area renowned for birdlife and nature reserves, there is good walking and cycling on the doorstep and the stunning Lincolnshire Wolds chalk hillside scenery, a designated Area of Natural Beauty, with its rolling uplands and quaint unspoilt villages and countryside, is within easy reach. Nearby river boat trips provide a pleasant tranquil way to enjoy the countryside, a nearby farm museum gives a fascinating glimpse into the agricultural past, as do the ancient windmills, whilst the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight revives more recent memories. Skegness, 15 miles, boasts a beautiful stretch of sandy beach, the fun of Fantasy Island and traditional seaside amusements. Inland, Horncastle has a huge array of antique emporiums, and at Woodhall Spa, 15 miles, are the Kinema in the Woods and a lovely outdoor swimming pool. Spalding, famous for its spring flower festival is 20 miles whilst Hunstanton’s seal sanctuary is a little further afield. Lincoln with it’s medieval cobbled streets, lovely cathedral and castle, designer shops and vibrant riverside is 30 miles. Locally shops and inns are 2 miles and historic Boston a short drive.

Reviews
I would recommend this cottage to anyone seeking a relaxing break. The welcome we had was so friendly and there was a welcome card and a lovely homemade cake to greet us. (little things mean a lot) The cottage had all you need and was excellent for a winter break. A real home from home and a getaway from it all break.

Whichever of our Lincolnshire cottage holidays you choose, you can be sure of a very pleasant surprise when you arrive in this peaceful, almost timeless place. It may be one of the largest of Britain’s counties, but it remains one of the least well-known. Here you’ll find wide-open spaces, far horizons and room to breathe, not to mention some excellent locally-sourced food.
Perhaps most striking are the Lincolnshire Wolds, where most of our Lincolnshire holiday cottages are located. Unlike the rest of the county, this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty boasts rolling hills, deep valleys and is ideal touring country. In complete contrast, there’s Lincolnshire’s Fun Coast, miles of sandy beaches stretching from Skegness to Mablethorpe which attracts families in search of its many seaside attractions and shows.
Not be missed is historic Lincoln, complete with its famous cathedral and medieval buildings as well as a Norman Castle where you can see one the few original copies of Magna Carta. To the south lies Stamford, a perfectly preserved Georgian Town, which featured in the TV adaptation of Middlemarch. Make sure you pay a visit to nearby Burghley House, one of our grandest Elizabethan houses.
